Healthcare in the UK is different to the USA - healthcare choices may be difficult and perplexing. The AWHC will advise women on the healthcare options available to them in the UK.
The AWHC, based in the West End of London, is at the heart of medical excellence in Britain. It provides advice and treatment in the fields of obstetrics, gynaecology, reproductive medicine and breast care, as well as matters of general well-being for women.
The AWHC is run and personally managed by Dr Dickinson B Cowan - an anglicised American. Dick Cowan is a consultant and specialist in obstetrics, gynaecology (ObGyn), as well as in reproductive medicine. An obstetrician and gynaecologist by training, he has an extensive private practice in the London's West End.
Dr Cowan assesses and treats the majority of women referring themselves to the Centre. Patients outside his specialist field are referred to other doctors and centres of excellence. He encourages women who wish to participate in their own healthcare and to make the best choices for themselves.
